It creates the almond eye effect in the eyes. During this procedure, the structures are gently pulled, stretched and positioned upwards. For this reason, canthopexy is often preferred as it is a more minimally invasive technique. Canthopexy provides a long-lasting effect, but there may be slight changes over time due to aging. Recovery usually starts within 5-7 days after canthopexy. In this procedure, the outer corner of the eyelid (lateral canthus) must be completely cut. After the incision, the eyelids are reshaped and fixed at a higher point.
